Inspired by J.Crew yesterday, I decided to create some of my own bright + leopard = fabulous outfits!

Ok, so it is literally 100 degrees in Maryland today, but I am ignoring that fact and focusing on the new Fall collection on the j.crew site. I am loving the gorgeous colors and the leopard accents.

{decorate} jonathan adler santorini collection
LOVE the new Santorini Collection from Jonathan Adler. Bold, glossy teal and yellow porcelain with gold accents. It is totally fabulous.
I’d like this yellow Persephone Bowl for our bedroom.
And I’d like this Iris Tray for the library shelf in our living room.

{shop} nordstrom anniversary sale 2011
Anyone shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale yet?! It’s my favorite! I haven’t visited the sale in person yet, but I have ordered some things online.

I ordered this Suzi Chin Maggy Dress and it arrived last week - LOVE.
I also ordered these Sperry Brandpoint Loafers. We’re taking a trip to Italy this Fall and I’ve been looking for a good pair of walking shoes that a bit more attractive than sneakers. These are super comfy! They have a memory foam footbed.
I also ordered these Hunter rainboots, but in dark blue. They haven’t arrived yet, but I love the wedge heel.

{decorate} j schatz planters and bird feeders
So, I am kind of overwhelmed with the idea of gardening and landscaping in our new yard (and believe me, it needs A LOT of work), but I think I could handle caring for plants in hanging planters. These planters by J Schatz are so cool! I think I’d like one for hanging on each side of our front door.
Also loving the fantastic hummingbird feeders and bird houses.

{couture} fall 2011: armani privé
For his Fall collection, Armani paid homage to Japan. It was dramatic and fabulous. Origami pleating and obi belts – and wait until you see the Philip Treacy hats – AMAZING. Love the floral prints and the cropped pants.

{inspire} beautiful books
HUGE fan of Coralie Bickford-Smith and her gorgeous book covers (see Fitzgerald and Penguin Classics). Her latest project is these Great Food books.
Aren’t they fab?! The whole collection would look great in a kitchen.
These leatherbound Barnes & Noble Classics with covers designed by Jessica Hische are also gorgeous. Such a great vintage vibe. Love these.

{couture} fall 2011: valentino
Valentino was my other favorite couture show. It was sort of bohemian and old fashioned – totally lovely. Loved the use of velvet, all the long sleeves, and that gorgeous shade of pale green.
