{couture} spring 2011 ready-to-wear part 1

It’s Fashion Week!  So far, there’s been a continuation of the ladylike styles we saw for Fall, and an emphasis on the LWD (little white dress). Love.

The queen of lady-like is Carolina Herrera and she did not disappoint.

Loving this shift dress with lace and bow detail.

She incorporated vintage botanical prints into several of the designs. So glamorous.

The corals and pinks were perfect for Spring.

As was Carolina’s LWD.

Monique Lhuillier also representing ladylike and lovely.  Eveningwear is her forte, and there were some killer dresses, but my favorite looks were those that featured pants!

These red pants with white oragami top are stunning.

More evening pants; this time in gold.

And white. LOVE this soft floral top.

More of that fantastic red.

This blue gown is the most gorgeous color.

And Monique’s LWDs.

Victoria Beckham is also ladylike, but with a little more edge.  I love the tailoring of her dresses.

Loved her color choices – salmon and saffron.  A little bit different, and perfectly suited for Spring.

Posh’s LWDs are fantastic. Love these.

I also really liked this gown, shown in black and in white. I love the casual elegance of the pockets and the short sleeves.

And finally, Erin Fetherston gave us ladylike with a twist.

Her LWDs.

Loved this short suit with lavendar camisole.

Celedon in a print, and in a simple draped dress with dark accents is lovely.

I LOVE that first outfit of Lhuillier’s, the red pants and white origami top. That is to die for. Great fashion week.
